The original artwork was created by Miu Shu, a Chinese artist who has been living in Scotland since 2014. The painting was created on a 45cm by 45cm silk scarf, using professional-grade silk dye. The artwork belongs to Miu Shu’s “Scotland on Silk” silk painting project, which aims to unite the cultural heritage of Scotland and China while showcasing the richness and diversity of both cultures.

Since 2018, Miu Shu has painted over 100 silk paintings of Scottish landmarks. This painting is just one example of how Miu is attempting to create art that surpasses borders and helps connect people from different backgrounds.
