These terms and conditions govern your use of our website and the process for placing orders for items from www.miuartstudio.co.uk. To register on the site and make purchases with Miu Art Studio, you must be aged 18 or over. By placing orders or utilizing other services on www.miuartstudio.co.uk, you are considered to have comprehended and agreed to these terms. For any inquiries, you can reach us through the Contact Us page at miuartstudio.co.uk. Please note that we may contact you for market research purposes.

Your Order
Orders and Contract
Your order for goods or services is considered accepted, and a contract is formed between Miu Art Studio and you when we dispatch the goods or service you have ordered, not before. The contract is not formed when payment is taken from you by Miu Art Studio or when you receive an email acknowledging receipt of your order. Until the goods or service are dispatched or delivered, the order may not be accepted by Miu Art Studio, or you may choose to cancel it. Please note that exceptions apply to orders for personalized items and goods made to your order, which cannot be canceled by you once you have received an email confirmation of order receipt, as these items may already be in production due to your order. For a full list of exceptions to items you can return, please refer to the section titled “EXCEPTIONS TO THE RETURNS POLICY.”
After the contract is formed, Miu Art Studio shall continue to own any goods ordered until full payment has been received from you, even if the goods have already been delivered. Purchases from Miu Art Studio online will be charged on the day the goods are dispatched. Purchases made in person at our stall or events are charged at the time of purchase.
Cancelation and Return Policy
As per Consumer Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days after receiving the goods or service. The right to cancel does not apply to goods that are made to your specification or clearly personalised (for example, an item made to a size, colour combination, wording or artwork chosen specifically for you), or to art commissions. It does not apply to digital content once we have started supplying it with your express consent (see Digital content and online courses below). Our standard products, including standard silk painting kits, scarves and prints, are not personalised simply because they are handmade or prepared after you order, and the right to cancel applies to them.
To initiate a cancellation, you must inform us in writing via email or by using the contact form on www.miuartstudio.co.uk within 14 days from the day after receiving your goods. It’s essential to take reasonable care of the goods and refrain from using them. The items should be returned to us in their original packaging, wherever possible, within 14 days of informing us of your wish to cancel. If you cancel, you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless they are faulty, damaged or not as described. We recommend using a tracked or insured service and keeping your proof of postage, as the goods remain your responsibility until they reach us. We may deduct an amount from your refund if the goods have lost value because you handled them more than was necessary to inspect them. For detailed instructions on how to return goods, please refer to the RETURNS section.
If you cancel, we will refund you within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or of receiving evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier. The refund will include the original standard delivery charge. We do not refund any extra cost of a more expensive delivery option than our standard one.
Please be aware that we cannot accept substitute or alternative items for returns, nor can we send them back to you. Therefore, please carefully examine the items you wish to return to us. If you return an item that is not the item you ordered, please contact us so that we can resolve this with you. We may deduct reasonable costs where the law allows.
Digital content and online courses: Where digital content is supplied immediately, such as access to online course videos or downloadable materials, you will be asked at checkout to give your express consent for the supply to begin during the 14-day cancellation period, and to acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once the supply has begun. If we have not obtained that consent and acknowledgement, your right to cancel is not excluded. Where an order includes both a physical kit and course access, the right to cancel the physical kit is not affected.
For complete details of your rights under the Consumer Protection Regulations, we advise you to contact your Citizens Advice Bureau or a Solicitor. Additional terms and conditions may apply to cancel orders for specific goods, such as made-to-order items, video subscriptions, and workshop kits. Please refer to the terms relating to the supply of those goods.
Delivery Terms
Local Pick Up
Where local collection is offered at checkout, the available collection location and collection times will be shown with the shipping options. Please wait until you have received confirmation that your order is ready before travelling to collect it. There is no delivery charge for an order collected using an available local collection option. Your order processing time depends on the type of items your order, for example, made-to-order can take up to 3 weeks to finish the process, and the processing time remains to same for all delivery choices. Please read the description carefully before purchasing from Miu Art Studio. Made to Order delivery times cannot be guaranteed. We will email you when your order is ready for collection. Parcels will be available for collection in the shop on the stated delivery day after 12 noon. Orders that are not collected within 10 days of the collection date will be returned to us and a refund processed (made-to-order and personalised items excepted).
Courier Delivery
Delivery options and charges are shown at checkout before you place your order. We may update our delivery services and charges from time to time. Our standard courier delivery charge is per delivery for one-person delivery items. When the standard courier service is not available, Miu Art Studio will deliver by an alternative carrier and this may take longer. Delivery time will show when you place the order.
Specific delivery details will be confirmed at the time you order. Delivery times cannot be guaranteed. No delivery services are available on a bank holiday. Over the festival/holiday periods our standard delivery services may be affected, specific delivery details will be confirmed at the time of order.
Delivery Charges
Our standard courier delivery is varying to the item per order for one-person delivery items. Your billing address will be the default delivery address. Delivery charges are calculated according to the delivery destination, parcel size and the shipping service available for your order. The applicable charge is shown at checkout before you place your order. Free delivery offers are subject to availability and the choice will automatically be listed during the checkout. Art Prints and large Framed Art Works shipping fees will be classified while purchasing. If you cancel within the 14-day cancellation period, we will refund the standard delivery charge you paid. We do not refund any extra cost of a more expensive delivery option than our standard one. Over Festival/Holiday periods our standard delivery services may be affected, specific delivery details will be confirmed at the time of order.
International delivery
We ship to selected international destinations. The countries currently available are shown at checkout. Delivery times vary by destination, carrier and customs processing. Any delivery estimate is an estimate only and may be affected by customs checks, local postal services, carrier delays, public holidays or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Please make sure your delivery address is complete and accurate before placing your order. If an order is returned to us because an incorrect or incomplete address was supplied, delivery was refused, or the parcel was not collected, we may require payment of the reasonable cost of re-delivery before sending it again. Where a refund is due, we may deduct any direct return-to-sender costs that we are legally entitled to recover.
Customs duties, import taxes and handling charges
For orders delivered outside the United Kingdom, customs duties, import taxes, handling charges or other local charges may apply. Unless the checkout or shipping option expressly states that duties and taxes are included, these charges are not included in the product price or delivery charge and are the responsibility of the recipient. For orders to the United States, where the selected delivery option states that duties and taxes are included, you will not be asked to pay additional import duties or taxes on delivery. Customs rules and charges are set by the destination country and can change. We cannot control these charges or guarantee the amount payable. If a parcel is refused or not collected because customs charges are unpaid, any refund will be made only after the parcel has been returned to us and may be reduced by direct return costs where the law allows.
Orders lost or damaged in transit
Your order remains at our risk until it is delivered to you. If your order arrives damaged, or if tracking indicates that it may have been lost in transit, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at info@miuartstudio.co.uk with your order number and, where relevant, photographs of the parcel and damaged item. We will investigate with the carrier and, where the order is confirmed lost or damaged, we will arrange a replacement or refund. Please keep the packaging until the matter has been resolved. Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights.
Workshops
Booking and Cancellation
By booking a silk painting workshop with Miu Art Studio / Huntly Silk Painting Studio, you agree to the workshop terms below.
Workshop places are limited and materials are prepared in advance. Please check the date, time, location and number of participants carefully before booking.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your workshop, please contact us as early as possible. Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 7 days before the workshop date.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the workshop date are normally non-refundable, as your place and materials will already have been reserved.
Missed Sessions and No-Shows
If you do not attend your booked workshop and do not contact us in advance, your booking will be treated as used.
At our discretion, we may offer one replacement session as a goodwill gesture, subject to availability. This is not guaranteed and can only be offered once. If the replacement session is missed, the booking will be treated as used.
Late Arrival
Please arrive on time for your workshop. If you arrive late, we may not be able to extend the workshop time, as this can affect other participants and later bookings.
For guided workshops, late arrival may mean that some instructions or practice time are missed. The full workshop fee will still apply.
Ticket Transfer
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your place to a family member or friend. Please let us know in advance so we can update the booking details.
This also applies to workshop gift vouchers.
Group Bookings
For group bookings, invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
For bookings made within 30 days of the workshop date, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Group booking cancellations or changes must be agreed in writing. As materials, preparation time and venue arrangements may be reserved in advance, late cancellations may still be chargeable.
Changes Made by Us
Miu Art Studio / Huntly Silk Painting Studio reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop if necessary, including due to illness, adverse weather, venue issues, public safety concerns or other unforeseen circumstances.
If we need to cancel or reschedule a workshop, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer an alternative date or appropriate solution.
Materials and Finished Artwork
Workshop materials, tools and supplies remain the property of Miu Art Studio unless stated otherwise or purchased separately.
Participants may take home their finished artwork after the workshop, unless the item requires further processing, such as steam fixing or finishing. In these cases, collection or postage arrangements will be explained during the workshop.
Personal Belongings and Clothing
Participants are responsible for their own belongings during the workshop.
Silk painting involves dyes, paints, water and other art materials. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting stained. Miu Art Studio cannot accept responsibility for stains, damage or loss of personal items.
Children and Family Workshops
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult during family or children’s workshops, unless the workshop has been specifically arranged as a drop-off session.
Adults are responsible for the behaviour, safety and wellbeing of the children attending with them.
Welcoming Environment
We aim to provide a calm, friendly and inclusive creative environment. By attending a workshop, participants agree to treat the instructor, staff, venue partners and other participants with respect and kindness.
We reserve the right to refuse participation or ask someone to leave if their behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, discriminatory or inappropriate.
Questions
If you have any questions about your booking or need to discuss accessibility, health, mobility or support needs, please contact us before the workshop. We will do our best to help where possible.
Returns & Refunds
You may return items in new and unused condition. Items should be returned in the original packaging, if the package is broken, we may be unable to process a refund/full refund. If you want to cancel/return your order you must tell us within 14 days (beginning on the day after the day you receive the goods), and you then have 14 days to return the items. f you are returning an item, please copy your receipt and post it with the item you are returning. The responsible for the return courier charge and risk is your own. If you paid for the order by credit/ debit card, PayPal or Apple pay, any charges will be deducted from your refund. Items bought in stall/event/giftshop cannot be returned via a courier and must be returned in person please get in touch at info@miuartstudio.co.uk

Exceptions to the Returns Policy
The following exceptions apply to our returns policy.
No refunds or exchanges can be given on items made to your specification, made to measure items, unless there is a faulty or the goods are not as ordered. Gift cards/ eGiftcards/vouchers/promotion codes/coupons cannot be returned or exchanged for cash. Returned items which are not in new or unused condition may not be fully credited to your account unless they are faulty. This does not affect your right to return faulty items.
Due to the bespoke nature of these items you can only return items that are faulty, do not fit their description, or meet your instructions. If our order is faulty in any way, please contact us on info@miuarttudio.co.uk

For Items listed above cancellation is not possible after the order has been placed and accepted.
To return a faulty item
Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods: your statutory rights are not affected by these Terms. Goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise do not conform to the contract, you may have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including a short-term right to reject qualifying faulty goods within 30 days and, where applicable, rights to repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund. Please contact us at info@miuartstudio.co.uk if you believe an item is faulty or incorrect. Where the law requires us to accept the return of faulty goods, we will bear the reasonable cost of return.

Refunds
We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or of receiving evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier, using the same payment method you used for the order. Please keep your proof of postage when returning goods. If a return is lost in transit, please contact us and we will review the case.

The taking of payment from you by Miu Art Studio under any of the means set out above does not indicate that a contract has been formed between you and Miu Art Studio. By completing and submitting the electronic order form including your payment details you are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract. Payment will be refunded to you if your offer is later refused or rejected by Miu Art Studio.
Coupons/Discount Code
Validity and Usage

Corrections
Descriptions of goods and services are accurate to the best of our knowledge. We do our best to correct errors or omissions as soon as we are aware of them. However, you should be aware that the colours and appearance of product images vary very slightly from the way they appear on the screen and on different devices. Silk scarves from Miu Art Studio are hand-rolled edges, the final product size may vary by 1~2 cm, and the hand-painted items are unique and may appear slightly different every time. Also, print sizes can vary slightly between production batches. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you wait to receive your unframed prints before committing to third-party frames. If you need to know the precise dimensions of a product, please contact us.

The images used on Miu Art Studio website, downloadable study resources, design articles, workshops and Video tutorials are the property of Miu Art Studio or their respective copyright owners. You must not reproduce, modify or distribute our images or any part of those images in any manner, whatsoever.
Reviews and Customer Ratings
These Terms of Use govern your conduct associated with the Customer Ratings and Review service offered by Miu Art Studio.
- By submitting any content to Miu Art Studio, you represent and warrant that:
- You are the sole author and have not copied the content from any third party;
- All content that you post is accurate;
- Use of the content you supply does not violate these Terms of Use and will not cause injury to any person or entity.
- You further agree and warrant that you shall not submit any content:
- That is known by you to be false, inaccurate, or misleading;
- That infringes any third party’s copyright, trademark, or privacy;
- That is, or may reasonably be considered to be, defamatory, racially or religiously biased or offensive, contains obscene language, or is threatening or harassing to any individual, partnership, or corporation;
- That includes any information that references other websites, addresses, email addresses, contact information or phone numbers; or
- That contains any computer viruses, worms, or other potentially damaging computer programs or files. For any content that you submit, you grant Miu Art Studio a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable right and license to use, copy, modify, delete in its entirety, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, and/or distribute such content and/or incorporate such content into any form, medium or technology throughout the world without compensation to you.
- All content that you submit may be used at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to change, condense or delete any content on our websites that we deem, in its sole discretion, to violate the content guidelines or any other provision of these Terms of Use. We do not guarantee that you will have any recourse through Miu Art Studio to edit or delete any content you have submitted.
- Ratings and written comments are generally posted within two to four business days. However, we reserve the right to remove or refuse to post any submission for any reason. You acknowledge that you, not Miu Art Studio, are responsible for the contents of your submission.
- None of the content that you submit shall be subject to any obligation of confidence on the part of Miu Art Studio, its partners, or third-party service providers and employees.
- By submitting your email address in connection with your rating and review, you agree that Miu Art Studio and its third-party service providers may use your email address to contact you about the status of your review and other administrative purposes.
Prices
All prices are shown in pounds sterling. We are not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to our prices. Prices may change from time to time; the price shown when you place your order is the price you pay. Prices on the Miu Art Studio website may differ from prices at our stall or on other online platforms, such as Etsy and ClassBento.

Usage
All products are sold on the basis that they are suitable for domestic use only. Please contact us for further information if you intend using any products, designs, footages or workshop resources in a business or public environment.
Craft kit safety
Please follow the instructions supplied with your kit. Materials are supplied for craft use only and should be used only as directed. Children must use the kit under appropriate adult supervision. Keep craft materials away from food and drink and keep them out of reach of young children when not in use.
Availability
All orders for products are subject to availability. In the event of seasonal supply difficulties of handmade items, we reserve the right to all the made-to-order items.
Language
This information is supplied in English only and we will continue to communicate in this way during your agreement with us.
Changes

Law
Our agreement with you is based upon English law and the laws applicable to this agreement are the laws of England and Wales.
