What you'll do
Coffee Break Silk Painting is a gentle, beginner-friendly wellbeing art session, designed to help you pause, relax, and reconnect — even within a busy day.
This short session is part of our wellbeing programme and offers an easy, low-pressure introduction to silk painting. No drawing experience is needed, and all materials are provided.
The workshop takes place in two welcoming spaces in Huntly, each offering a slightly different atmosphere:
* Deans Bistro provides a warm, social café setting with coffee, gentle conversation, and a relaxed creative energy.
*Huntly Silk Painting Studio, just off Huntly Square, offers a quiet upstairs space ideal for mindful making and focused calm.
The workshop includes a 45-minute guided demonstration.
Most participants take around one hour in total to complete their silk painting, working at a comfortable, unhurried pace.
By the end of the session, you’ll take home a finished A5 silk artwork, along with a calm, restorative creative experience that many participants find grounding and uplifting.
In a fast-paced world, this is a small but meaningful moment of self-care — a chance to pause, create, and simply be.
