Turn a feeling into colour, and colour into a wish.
In this workshop, you’ll begin by choosing a colour mood, then let your colours flow across silk before writing a small wish or blessing for your finished scarf.

What you'll do

Create your own hand-dyed silk scarf in this gentle, beginner-friendly summer workshop.

Instead of starting with a drawing or fixed image, you’ll begin with colour. You’ll choose a simple colour mood, test your palette on small silk swatches, and then let the dyes flow naturally across the silk.

The process is easy to follow, but not random. You’ll learn a simple way to balance a soft base colour, small accent colours, and a deeper focus colour, so your scarf feels personal and wearable.

At the end of the session, you can write a small wish or blessing for your scarf. It can be for yourself, for someone else, or simply one word you want the piece to carry.

No drawing or painting experience is needed. You’ll leave with a finished hand-dyed silk scarf, ready to wear or give as a thoughtful handmade gift.
